Simpler than you’d expect
I spent my first night staring at a FITS file with no idea what to do with it. Since then I’ve figured out what actually works, and I share it all here.
Zero experience needed
I wrote everything with the words I’d have wanted to hear when I started. No jargon, no assumptions about what you already know.
From capture to final result
Preparing the session, picking a target, retrieving the files, processing them: every step has its pitfalls. I’ve hit them all. The fixes are here.
100% free and open source
Siril, GraXpert, Stellarium: free, actively maintained, and more than enough to produce genuinely beautiful images. No reason to spend on software.
